I created this wall piece to honour the kind of love that’s often quiet and unseen the love of a mother. The golden light and the focus on footsteps symbolise a path we don’t fully understand until later: the years of effort, worry, and sacrifice that carried us forward long before we could carry ourselves.

The message that Paradise lies beneath the feet of your mother is meant to stop you in your tracks. It’s a reminder to stay close, be present, and soften your heart. Because when she’s gone, it’s never the money or the busyness we remember it’s the moments we missed, the words we wish we’d said, and the patience we wish we’d shown.
