This piece was inspired by the moments where life feels heavy when you’re carrying pressure quietly, trying to stay strong, and you can’t see a way out yet. I wanted to visualise the verse from Surah Ash-Sharh that has carried so many of us through those seasons: “For indeed, with hardship comes ease.”  The mountains represent that “tight” feeling of being boxed in by worries, grief, stress, or setbacks  but right at the centre there’s a break in the darkness, a sunrise that cannot be stopped. 

The light pouring through is the reminder I’ve needed personally: ease doesn’t always arrive loudly or instantly, but Allah promises it is coming sometimes in the form of strength you didn’t know you had, a door opening at the right time, or peace returning to your heart after a long struggle. This piece is for anyone who’s still in the middle of it, a daily reminder to breathe, hold on, and trust that the light is already on its way.
